Car history: |
The 1968 Corvette marked the introduction of the long awaited "Mako Shark" body popularized by Chevrolet R&D concept cars for years before. Sitting on the proven chassis design from the C2, the new body was reminiscent of the high end Italian sports cars of the period, much improved in aerodynamics over the previous body design. With Zora-Arkus Duntov at the helm, the Corvette division was a world class contender on the race track and in dealer showrooms across the nation. This Silverstone silver roadster sports a black interior, both tops and a 300 horse 327 backed by a Muncie M20 four speed. Matching number powertrain assures the continuing appreciation of the value of this car. Features include factory air and the addition of a Clarion AM/FM/CD stereo system with wireless remote. Period correct Firestone Red Line Wide Ovals on original Rallye wheels maintain the look and it drives every bit as nice as it looks. 39,096 miles. Paint form the owner. September 25, 2008. |
